Revolut expands its Board of Directors

Revolut UK has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors. According to a press release, Fiona Fry and Sir Peter Estlin have joined the board as independent non-executive directors.

Both Fiona Fry and Sir Peter Estlin previously held senior positions at KPMG and Barclays respectively. Fiona Fry is a qualified chartered accountant with a career spanning more than 40 years. She worked as a partner at KPMG for more than 23 years and focussed on governance and culture. So finance and culture go very well together! Fry was also a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Financial Services Consumer Panel for two years.

Sir Peter Estlin, on the other hand, is known as the Lord Mayor of London, a position he held in 2018/2019. In his professional career, he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1985. In the course of his work, Sir Peter Estlin became a partner at Coopers & Lybrand in 1993. He held various senior positions in the banking sector, for example at Salomon Brothers. Later in his career he moved to Barclays in the role of Group Financial Controller and later became CFO of the Corporate and Retail Bank.

Revolut UK Chairman Richard Holmes commented: “I am delighted to welcome Fiona and Peter to the Revolut UK Board. Building a board of experienced financial services professionals who are independent non-executive directors is an important step as we seek a full banking licence to better serve our growing UK customer base.”

Sir Peter Estlin commented: “I am delighted to be joining the Revolut UK Board at such an exciting time as we continue to transform financial services and bring more choice to customers across the country.”

Fiona Fry commented, “Revolut UK is on a mission to be an innovator in financial services. It’s a great privilege to join the team and help support our customers.”
